History

I am proud to say that I am the third generation of a family of golf professionals and my sons Ashley & Christian are now the forth generation, also my grandfather on my mothers side, Fred Windsor was the assistant at Thorpe Hall Golf Club, professional at Burnham on Sea Golf Club & lastly professional at Ruislip Golf Club.

My Grandfather Harold Foreman was Professional Golfer atPGA Crest - Essex Golf Lessons Belfairs Park from 1953-1966, my father Roger took over from him in 1966 until 1995, during his career my father was assistant at the prestigious Wentworth Golf Club in Surrey. During his playing career he won the East Anglian Open Championship in 1958 & again in 1965. The Open Championship at Royal Troon in 1962 was probably his proudest & most notable achievement when he came joint 16th in the year that Arnold Palmer won the Championship. He also made a name in Essex for his coaching skills, teaching David Wood (Welsh Amateur International Champion & now professional at St Cleres Hall Golf Club in Essex) and Beverley Lewis a past Captain of the Professional Golfers Association and BBC commentator.

My mother has a golfing history as she played for the English Girls at amateur level & finished runner up in the British Girls Championship she also played for many years for the Essex Ladies Team winning on a number of occasions against other Counties, she is still playing to a high level today.

Golf day out with my sons.

My brother Mark is Professional golfer at The Mid Kent Golf club where he is enjoying a successful career.

I took over as Professional from my father at Belfairs Golf Course in 1995 until 2002 when I chose to concentrate on the teaching side of the profession, this was when I moved to Leigh Driving Range as the teaching professional.
