Golf Holiday in Turkey
Recently I have returned from a golfing holiday to Belek in Turkey and what an experience it was, I was recommended this part of Turkey to visit by numerous people and wasn’t disappointed.
We went on an all inclusive package through Alternative Travel & Holidays & stayed in a 5 star hotel called Xanadu (www.xanaduresort.com.tr) where the facilities, food, windsurfing, service and hospitality were outstanding.
We had a choice of numerous golf courses to choose from, we chose Noblis, Monty, National & Carya all of these courses were carved through pine forests, the trees had been planted hundreds of years ago to protect this part of the south coast from wind & sand being blown onto the land, for every tree that has been felled to create the courses five trees have been replaced nearer the coast again to protect the land.
Although some of the courses are only a couple of years old they have the maturity of a course that could have been there for a century or more, however the facilities which include driving ranges, chipping greens & putting greens are very modern and are of an exceptional standard & very well maintained. The club houses all have a prime locations overlooking the 18th greens and are of a modern design where decor, service and restaurants etc. are of a very high standard.
If anyone was thinking of going on a golfing holiday abroad this is a place I would recommend to anyone for great value for money, lovely courses and a fantastic hotel.
All windsurfing and sailing equipment and clothing was provided by surfwear.co.uk.
