3. Slow your swing down. More speed doesn't always mean more distance. A smooth, controlled swing with good contact will beat a fast, wild one every time. Focus on tempo.

4. Take a lesson before bad habits set in. The longer you play with a flaw in your technique, the harder it is to fix. One lesson early on can save months of frustration later.

5. Be consistent with your practice. Even 30 minutes twice a week beats a two-hour session once a month. Consistency builds muscle memory — and muscle memory builds confidence.
